It never hurts to prepare for life's little emergencies. Our Meals on Ice frozen food program is one way you can plan ahead—for everything from a long holiday weekend to a bona-fide blizzard.
Meals on Wheels will provide frozen food packages to our clients upon request. Many clients request frozen foods so they will have nutritious meals to eat every weekend. Others prefer the convenience of frozen foods for their daily meals. The bottom line is, it makes sense for everyone to have several frozen meals on hand in case normal meal delivery is cancelled unexpectedly.
All meals include an entrée, two vegetables, bread and margarine, fruit or dessert and a beverage. The meals are provided in 5-meal cases, and cost $18.00 each. The service must be authorized by the client's physician in accordance with the client's prescription diet order.
Here is a sample of what you might find in a Meals on Ice frozen meal case:

Additional items: Bread slices (2 white, 3 wheat); 10 pats margarine; skim milk (5 8-oz cartons); 4-oz. orange juice; 4-oz. cranberry juice; 4-oz. applesauce; 3.5-oz. chocolate pudding.
Please Note: These are complete frozen meal packages. No splitting or substitutions can be accommodated.
